The T20 is the EM centre’s entry level (S)TEM. Equipped with a LaB6 source, the T20 offers lower resolution than the more advanced FEG systems but this user friendly TEM is fully capable of all conventional TEM techniques including STEM-EDS. With a diffraction version of CCD camera, mounted on the lower magnification 35mm port, the T20 is also the TEM of choice for standard diffraction techniques.
Utilised for most basic TEM training, diffraction studies, routine imaging/analysis and sample screening, the T20 is a very popular TEM within the EM centre.
