Tescan Mira3 SC

Purchased by the University in 2019, the TESCAN Mira3 small chamber is a high performance SEM offering high resolution/high current/low noise imaging. It is entrance level SEM introducing new users. Wide selection unique optics mode and detectors enhance a resolution/ field of view/depth of focus imaging. Selected area crystallographic information can be recorded in channelling mode. A thin parallel beam rocks around one point creating bright pseudo-Kikuchi bands on the crystal planes. Capability of beam Deceleration gives an excellent resolution at low beam voltages.
It is equipped with an Oxford Instruments 10mm2 X-Act SSD detector for chemical analysis.
